At a glittering ceremony on 19 September in London's 16th century Middle Temple Hall , Professor Lin Norton received her National Teaching Fellowship from Higher Education Minister, Bill Rammell. Introducing the awards, Professor Paul Ramsden Chief Executive of the Higher Education Academy, emphasised that the NTFS forms part of the Academy's mission to lead and support the professional development and recognition of staff in HE and to ensure that teaching is valued and rewarded.
We extend the University's hearty congratulations to Lin on this achievement and recognition. Her award's citation noted Lin's "20 years of commitment to improving student learning at an institutional , national and international level, and through her discipline of Psychology". Pictured at the ceremony are Professor Norton, Dr Liz Beaty, HEFCE Director of Learning & Teaching and Bishop Ian Stuart who represented the Vice-Chancellor at this celebration.
